PhaseThree is a meticulous emulation of the iconic MuTron Bi-Phase, encapsulating its distinctive sound characteristics, imperfections, and idiosyncrasies. Each original Bi-Phase unit develops a unique sonic fingerprint over time due to aging components. To procure the most melodious rendition, we painstakingly acquired a particularly exceptional unit at a slightly extravagant price and disassembled it to unravel its inner workings.

The outcome is an exacting digital replication of the authentic unit, meticulously capturing even the nuanced modulation patterns of its Low-Frequency Oscillators (LFOs). Notably, our latest iteration deviates from the initial design by introducing 12-stage phasors alongside the traditional six-stage versions present in the hardware renditions. The enhancement to 12-stage phasors was motivated by a desire to offer a sound profile that aligns more closely with contemporary expectations, given that the original six-stage variants may appear somewhat tame to modern ears.
